Africa does indeed have a large range of mammasl, but one has to bare in mind that we are looking at only a small amount of the mammals that were once found in Europe for instance (at the beginning of the 20th century there were still tigers and lions in turkey). Asia is also very rich in mammals. Australia has a very unique number of mammals is it isolated those evolving very early compared to the split of America and Europe
