There may not be one, My 2000 Lumina has a plug on the lower drivers side of the radiator that can be replaced with a petcock. Rather than do this I removed the lower radiator hose to facilitate flushing the cooling system.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1999 Chevy Lumina. Remove the nut on the top of the ball joint. Pound the ball joint out with a hammer. Reverse the process to install the new ball joint.
There is a petcock on the lower drivers side of the radiator. Turn it counterclockwise and pull out at the smae time. If it is missing or broken then you have to use the lower radiator hose.
it should be on the raditor next to the lower hose
On my 1997 & 1998 Luminas, the drain is on the lower drivers side of the radiator. Be careful, they break easily. If it is alredy broken, you will have to use the lower radiator hose.
Lower hose goes between rad and water pump !! KM
The Chevy lumina vans are bad for stab link kits and lower control arm bushings. If you inspect the lower control arm See if the bushing has come free of its bonding. Also does your van have a 3.4 in it. Check to make sure the intake gaskets arn't leaking. Another major problem for this vehicle.
