Another indicator for uncolored insulation is that one lead will be a darker copper color, and the other lead might be a lighter silver color.
A complete surround sound system that is referred to as 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1, the connections are trickier, *BUT* the manufacturer's are intuitive enough to color code the connections, and label channels to their respective pinout assignment (which pairs of connectors go to which speakers). This diagram is also available in the PDF documentation as well. A standard 5.1 surround sound system has a FL - front left, CC - center channel, FR - front right, SW - subwoofer (the .1 channel), RL - Rear Left, and RR - rear right channels.
