Any turbo oil return line needs to go back to the oil reservoir, but it is only gravity flow- put it under any pressure and it will put excessive pressure on the turbo seals, possibly smoking, or at worst, blowing oil out the exhaust. The return oil needs to be able to flow freely from the turbo, and dump back into the oil pan above the oil level- if there are no ports you can use- you may have to drill and tap a hole through the side of the block. The best trick to use here is go to a local wrecker and see if they have a wrecked engine like yours you can look at to determine where to drill a hole without hitting coolant or oil passages, or having the threaded fitting stick through too far and make contact with the crank or connecting rods (badness!) And what ever the supply line to your turbo is, the rule of thumb is to go 1-2 sizes larger for the return line, for optimum oil flow.
turbos are cooled with oil and that oil is supplied from oil pressure lines. check out the turbo and trace the lines; they should return to the oil pan.
it is oiled from the engine.The engine has many oil ports. When they build turbo motors they tap into one of these ports and feed the oil ( which is under pressure form oil pump ) into the " top center section" of the turbo.You will see an oil line coming off the bottom center section of the turbo as well,this is a "oil return line" that is routed to the oil pan, the block, or a catch can so it can return back to the original spot it started from to recycle threw the motor/turbo's again. this happens over and over until the motor is turned off. hope this helps
You have to unscrew the oil pressure sensor on the back of the engine. then screw in the 4-way adapter you should have in the hole where you unscrewed the oil pressure sensor, it should come with a plug in the 4way, screw the sensor into the 4way alone with the oil line for your turbo. If you do not have a 4way they sell adapters which are placed underneath the oil filter with a spot where you can screw on the oil line. And yes you should be able to pass an emissions test because a turbo actually atomizes the fuel to probuce lower emissions.
Need more info. Where is it leaking from? The turbo housing? The oil send or return lines?
If you look at the TURBO you will see that it has a oil line that hooks to it. The oil seal starts leaking and oil from the engine runs inside of the turbo and makes an oily mess in turbo and Intake hose. Alot of times the engine will smoke out of the exhaust. You need to replace TURBO.

well. are you sure its from the turbo? because if it is you will need to see where its coming frm. could be the return line gaskets goin bad. you'd have to look exactly where it's leaking...
Remove the oil line from the Turbo. Remove the temperature sensor from the Turbo. Remove the Turbo retaining nuts. Replace the old Turbo gasket with a new gasket. Reverse the process to install the new Turbo.
