After millions of victims in the 15th and 16th century in Europe, Venice celebrated the victory over "Black Death" with the Venice Carneval. It was also a clear sign to celebrate life again, after years of sorrow and disease.

∙ 14y agoSince it came in from Asia it would have been in Northern Europe . Most likely Italy or Germany. I say this because of location and they most likely had a bit more trade coming in than other places. I am not sure if it is recorded the first case since they didn't know what they were facing and would have thought it was a strange thing to have happen.
