However, the epidemic has been with mankind for thousands of years. It is properly called the Bubonic Plague. It is believed to have been originated in the center of Asia where it killed millions of China's residents. The great plague and transmittal began after a great earthquake in China which killed millions on Chinese 1300 BC.

The plaguue first migrated to Asia Minor long before the birth of Christ. It is transmitted to humans by the bite of a flea and came with the rats on ships or in caravans from China, India to the Western nations.

The Greeks knew of the cause and the knowlege was contained in the Great library in Alexandria, but the knowledge was lost when the library was burned.

After millions of victims in the 15th and 16th century in Europe, Venice celebrated the victory over "Black Death" with the Venice Carneval. It was also a clear sign to celebrate life again, after years of sorrow and disease.

The Black Death, Bubonic Plague, originated in Asia and followed the trade routes westward. It reached Europe aboard trading vessels that touched in the near east along the Mediterranean coast and then went to Italy. From Italy it spread throughout Europe.

Since it came in from Asia it would have been in Northern Europe . Most likely Italy or Germany. I say this because of location and they most likely had a bit more trade coming in than other places. I am not sure if it is recorded the first case since they didn't know what they were facing and would have thought it was a strange thing to have happen.
