the air temp sensor should be located on the radiator support behind the grille. Sometimes around the headlight area or attached to the center/ latch supports

I have 1995 S-10 4.3L: Mine is located in exhaust pipe just before the catalytic converter. Looks like a sparkplug with wires coming out. AutoZone has good info about it, check out http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c152800bfd04 Only one my truck has.
