Atheism is not practiced anywhere. It is not a practice. It should not be viewed in religious terms. Atheism is the lack of, or the absence of belief in gods and that can happen anywhere in the world.
Think of it this way- not playing Golf is not a different sport. Following that example, atheism is a lack of religion and not a different religion.
Atheists live in all countries of the world, although the risk of persecution makes it impossible to openly declare one's atheism in some countries.
In some Western countries, census and survey results show around half of the population to be atheist.
Atheists can be found all over the world, and form a substantial proportion of the population of many European countries. However, it is wrong to think of atheism as being 'practiced', as atheism does not have any rituals or practices. It is simply the absence of belief in gods and therefore the absence of religious ritual.
It is quite impossible to calculate exact number of atheists in many countries. Census measuring population of country collects various data including the religion followed by people in many countries, but many countries do not have an option as atheist, so people chose religion practiced by their ancestors. Moreover some atheists also consider themselves Agnostic, Buddhist, Hindu, Jains, Taoist, or hold other related philosophical beliefs. Some, like Secular Jews and Shintoists, may indulge in some religious activities as a way of connecting with their culture, all the while being atheist.
A 2012 poll on the Demographics of atheism by Gallup International, featuring over 50,000 respondents worldwide, recorded that 13% of those interviewed said they were "convinced atheists". The top ten countries with people who viewed themselves as "convinced atheists" were China (47%), Japan (31%), the Czech Republic (30%), France (29%), South Korea (15%), Germany (15%), Netherlands (14%), Austria (10%), Iceland (10%), Australia (10%) and the Republic of Ireland (10%).
Atheism is not practiced. That implies a structured set of beliefs, practices, meetings and texts. Atheism is simply not having a way of running one's life without acceptance of the existence of a deity. It is an individual thing. Many countries because of their education levels have many people who meet this criteria (Europe). Other countries have banned religion which is not the same as having a population that does not believe in a God (the old Soviet Union and China). Some countries assign their population a religion for census purposed (Japan) based on the family's past practices. Some countries have religions such as Buddhism that do not require adherents to identify a deity for their practice. Some countries such as Canada and the USA have such a strong fear of atheists that many who not believe in a deity are afraid to admit it in public.
As consequence there is to definitive data for countries with a high number of atheists. A best guess would be those countries wit a highly educated population, countries which espouse seular government and countries with a high tolerance of individual opinion.
There are atheists everywhere in the world.
Christain is leading. Atheism
Shinto religion is practiced in Japan.
If you mean where, as small scale place such as a church, nowhere. If you are asking on a larger scale, atheism is practiced around the world. In fact more and more countries are gaining atheists. The only country far behind on this bandwagon is the United States.
Christianity ofcousrse. Off late, Christianity is fast declining to Atheism, Buddhism, Islam & Hinduism.
Judaism is practiced all over the world. But the largest concentrations of Jews are in Israel and the United States (mostly in the New York metropolitan area).
Which area are you talking about. Christianity is all over the world in many tribes and nations.
Democracy is thought to have first been practiced in ancient Athens, in Greece This would have been during the 6th century BCE, although there are claims that civilizations in Egypt may have practiced it prior.
The CCCP (USSR or Union of Soviet Social Republics) was always Irreligion, which is like Atheism, but not at the same time. Irreligion is the absence of religion. It was not practiced or anything. It was just not there. Religion was not a big role in the CCCP, so they did not bother with it.
We haven't lived in it yet. That's why our world is such a horrible place.
Yes, it is practiced all over the world.
Atheism is not a "unifying" force nor is it intended to be. Atheism is not a religion nor a political system and there is no central organizing entity. Since atheism is not driven by any strict set of doctrines and atheists have no motive to take control over other people, force people to become atheists or rule the world, atheism is a relatively benign personal choice to not accept a belief in the supernatural.
Shintoism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. Shintoism is practiced in Japan, Christianity is practiced throughout the world, Judaism is practiced in Israel and Islam is practiced in the Middle East. Hinduism is practiced in India, and Buddhism is practiced in Southeast Asia as well as China.
