On a 1994 Ford Ranger :
Check in the front passenger footwell , under the front edge of the carpet ,
mounted on the toe board just to the right of the transmission hump
( that's where the fuel pump shut off switch / inertia switch was on my 1993
The 1992 Ford Ranger does not have a fuel pump shutoff switch. You can disable the fuel pump by removing the fuel pump fuse.

If you are talking about the emergency fuel shut-off switch (aka inertia switch). just push in the button on top of the switch.
That should be in the right front passenger footwell , behind ( or by ) the kick panel

If it's the same as my 1995 Ford Explorer it is in the right front passenger footwell , by the right front kick panel , mounted on the toeboard

It's on the passenger side below the dash under the carpet next to the transmission hump.
