What is a road ranger gearbox?

a gearbox with 9 to 18 gears that you use your splitter and you have to rev to a certain point to change gear and double clutch.

You are losing hyfraulic fluid in your 96 z-24 when you try to push in the clutch?

If there is a puddle under the transmission it will be the "throw-out" bearing also called the "release bearing". The tranny must come out. But try to pin-point where it is coming from,it may just be a leaking fitting or metal line or clutch master cylinder seal. But you MUST pin-point where it is leaking at. If the clutch disc gets saturated with fluid that will have to be replaced as well, but its best if you replace that anyway.

How do you fix the clutch pedal in a 1994 geo prizm if it is incredibly loose and will not go into gear?

clutchIt is most likely the clutch itself that is the problem and not the pedal, its probably time to replace it. When the clutch becomes worn to the point where it is no good any more you wont have enough pedal travel to disengage it. clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinderThe clutch master cylinder bolts to the firewall next to the brake master cylinder and provides hydraulic pressure to operate the clutch. If the fluid level in its reservoir is extremely low it will cause the clutch pedal to flop about with no resistance due to air in the lines. The clutch slave cylinder is mounted on the transaxle housing and operates the clutch arm. One of the two are leaking. Refill the clutch master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid and bleed the air out of the system by having a capable assistant pump the clutch pedal a few times then hold the pedal to the floor. With the pedal on the floor, crack open the bleeder screw open to allow the air/fluid to spew out and retighten the screw. Repeat the process of pumping the pedal and holding it on the floor and opening the bleeder screw. When this operation yields only brake fluid (no air) you have bled the air from the system.Note that the first few times you do this you probably will get more air than fluid. Pedal pressure will increase as the air is dispelled. Keep an eye on the fluid level in the reservoir. As the air is displaced with fluid the level in the reservoir drops. If the level drops below the inlet port you have to start the bleeding process from the beginning. These master and slave cylinders fail from time to time and are available from your local parts store.Good luck.

How do you check trans fluid on an 86 ranger with manual transmission?

How do you adjust the clutch on a Kia Spectra?

Check the level of the clutch fluid in the Kia Spectra's reservoir that's located in the rear left of the engine bay. The Kia Spectra actually used the brake master as its source of fluid for the clutch. Add fluid to the recommended level if it's low, then pump the clutch pedal to restore the pressure in the line. If the fluid level doesn't remain the same, you might have a leak in the system. Replace or repair any leaking parts.2 Adjust the height of the clutch pedal by turning the knob at the top of the pedal of the Kia Spectra. This changes the point at which the pedal engages. Test the pedal and tighten the adjuster knob when you are done.3 Bleed the clutch to remove any air bubbles from the system. Open the bleeder valve that's located on the slave cylinder (near clutch housing) and insert a tube. Put the other end of the tube into a clear container with clutch fluid. Pump the clutch pedal until you don't see any air bubbles in the container. Replace the fluid in the brake master cylinder.4 Inspect the components of the Kia Spectra's clutch: the flywheel, pressure plate and disc. Replace the clutch components if they're worn.Read more: How to Adjust the Clutch in a Kia Spectra | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_4484785_adjust-clutch-kia-spectra.html#ixzz16y2sthH4

What does it mean if you lose pressure on your clutch?

Can mean a few things. Low hydraulic fluid( brake fluid) in clutch master cylinder, worn clutch disc, needs bleed, slave cylinder slowly losing seal, seals in master cylinder, linkage problem. It could go forever but it is probably just the clutch disk material. To sum it up it means take it to the shop because if you don't know what it could be you most likely don't know how to fix it and it will only get worse to the point where it will not move

What is a biting point?

A biting point is the point at which the clutch engages in a car when the pedal is released.

1999 Ranger clutch overheated pulling load up long steep hill Won't shift anymore Can shift into gear with engine off but clutch engages when released at floor level from that point won't shift. HELP?

The clutch has overheated and burnt the pressure plate. The clutch and pressure plate will both probable need to be replaced. If this model has the Mazda transmission then the slave cylinder is probably located inside of the bell housing and should be replaced at the same time.

How would you fix a really high clutch engagement point What you mean is that the car wont kick in until the clutch is about 95 pulled out?
