It feeds off the passenger side exhaust manifold. there is a flex pipe that leads right to it. mounted to the front passenger side of the engine. Has a black flex hose that leads straight to the intake manifold. You can see it better if you remove the air cleaner tube and/or filter box.
The egr valve on the 1999 vortec v6 is bolted to the intake valve. It is just behind the distributor.
EGR VALVE IS LOCATED NEXT TO THE TOP RADIATOR HOSE AT THE ENGINE, IT CAN CAUSE ENGINE TO MISS, STALL AND SURGE.

The EGR valve on a 1994 Chevy 1500 is located on the top of the engine. If the valve becomes stopped, the engine could idle rough or stall.

sorry to say but the Quad 4 engine does not have an extrernal EGR valve. The egr sys is built into the head.
The location of the EGR valve on a 1987 to 1989 Chevy Celebrity depends on which engine the car has. If the car has the 2.8L V6 the EGR valve mounts to the plenum near the throttle body. If the car has the 2.5L 4 cylinder engine the EGR valve mounts in the center of the intake manifold near the valve cover.
If it's a 2.4 L DOHC motor, there is no EGR valve.

On your 1999 Ford Ranger , 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine : I believe the EGR valve is just to the left of your engine oil dipstick ( when you look into the engine compartment from the drivers side ) The EGR valve is lower down and has a round shaped top
