Top of the radiator just like every other car.
It resides at the engine side of the lower radiator hose.
you need to disconnect the upper radiator hose from the block inlet and pour your coolant/h2o directly into the block....reconnect hose then into radiator
Bottom of the engine where the lower radiator hose connects. Besides having to lay on the floor, it is easy to replace.
Every car I've ever worked on its been in the housing at the engine end of the top radiator hose. follow the lower radiator hose its actually under the car! at least in my 2001 it is
Drain the radiator. Remove the lower radiator hose from the motor. Unbolt the hose inlet, and remove the thermostat. Replace the thermostat and the inlet, the hose, and refill the radiator.
I think it is at the bottom of the engine where the one radiator hose connects to the engine remove the two bolts that hold the radiator hose pipe inlet in place and you will see the bottom of the thermostat sticking out
The thermostat is located under the top radiator hose inlet on the engine. Removing the top radiator hose and inlet will allow access to the thermostat.

Drain the Cavaliers radiator. Remove the top radiator hose, and the inlet pipe. Take the thermostat out from under the inlet pipe and replace it. Reinstall the pipe and hose, then refill the radiator.
Drain the vans radiator. Remove the top radiator hose and water inlet. take the thermostat out. Put in the new thermostat and re install the inlet and hose. Refill the radiator.
On a 2003 Bonneville, the hose to the water pump that is the heater inlet hose is the top hose coming from the radiator. This is also the hose that holds the thermostat.
To replace the thermostat on a 91 Cavalier you need to drain the radiator. Remove the top radiator hose and water inlet. Remove the thermostat from under the inlet. Install the new thermostat and reinstall the inlet and hose. Fill the radiator with fresh antifreeze.
