On the front of the engine by the powere steering pump. it is under the Power Steering pump and can be accessed by removing the passenger side wheel, and fender skirt. It will take a little finagleing to get it out. But it is not much trouble. There is a bar that connects it to the intake manifold make sure to undo it or you will do a lot of pulling for nought...
The timing chain cover IS the oil pump. You need to remove the dampener pulley (that's the pulley that drives the serpentine belt) then you can remove the timing chain cover/oil pump.

When the engine first starts, the alternator puts out a little extra current to recharge the battery. If the tensioner pulley is a little loose, the belt will slip on the alternator, making a terrible sound. Check/replace the tensioner. The spring is probably loose.
