It might be in the same place as a Ford Explorer... which is on the Transmission. Mine just went bad on my 1997 Explorer. You can order one from PepBoys for $50, or get them from an online store for $35.

The switch is part of the Park and Neutral safety switch for automatic transmission and cost close to $200 dollars, and is located in the transmission close to the shift gear cable. Now if you have a manual transmission then the cost is less money about $20 dollars because is a single switch and is close behind the starter.

The switch is on the left sie of the transmission just in front of the speed sensor for a manual transmission.
The heater switch is located in the middle of the car in the 1998 Ford Taurus. It is either above or below the radio.?æ
Most likely on the back left of the transmission, right above the pan.
The oil pressure switch on a 1998 Chevy Blazer is on the side of the engine block. It is located above the oil filter.
