if it has a 4.3 , the cam sensor is in the distributor under the rotor in the back , (not sure about crank sensor)
I've been looking into the same thing. Some 4.3's have a crank sensor on the bottom of the timing chain cover, maybe around 95-96 or later. All others are controlled at the distributor.
inside the distributor
IS CALL CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND IS LOCATED ON THE RIGTH SIDE OF THE ENGINE , ABOVE THE CRANK PULLEY You will have a crank sensor, but it won't have a cam sensor. it dose have a cam sensor, on the timing cover left sind of water pump
In the distributor.
its Located next to the Crank pully just to the side of it on the lower passenger side of the motor bottom.
if you have a code w/ cam to crank reference then yes. if only a crank sensor issue the no
Cam and crank sensors are two different things located in two different places so you need to ask for one or the other.
IS this a 5.2, if so the crank sensor is on the passenger side of the engine, in the far rear, it picks up off the flywheel, the cam sensor is located inside the distributor (it is the pick up coil).
The cam sensor is the distributor, The crank sensor is in the front bottom left side of the timing cover. Behind the balancer.
Assuming that it has a 4.3L engine, it would be the distributor.
On a 94 Turbo DSM there is no crank angle sensor. The Cam Angle Sensor(CAS)serves the function of both a crank and cam sensor, and it's located on the passenger side of the valve cover at the end of the intake camshaft, you can't miss it.
No cam, but yes crank
Lower/front/driver side of the block. The one aiming at the crank pulley is the crank sensor. The cam sensor is just above it.Lower/front/driver side of the block. The one aiming at the crank pulley is the crank sensor. The cam sensor is just above it.
