Assuming you are asking about a 4.0L engine... Remove the distributor cap. Remove the rotor. Unplug the camshaft positioning sensor from the harness. Lift carefully where the cable feeds through the distributor to the CMP and remove. Put replacement CMP in the same place and connect it to the harness. Replace the rotor and distributor cap.
