Each vehicle that has keyless entry has its own code
I had all four of my door locks stop working. I was told it was the actuators and for $250.00 per actuator (my only local Ford dealership) I could have them fixed. Back to manual for me.
Each vehicle has its own keyless entry factory code
Each vehicle has it's own factory keyless entry code
Your vehicle has a factory set 5 digit code that operates the keyless entry system. You can also program your own 5 digit personal entry code. The factory-set code is located on the owner's wallet card in the glove compartment.
A traditional door lock offers minimum security because there is the risk of keys falling into unwanted hands. The latest security features in modern door locks include electronic keypads. These digital door locks can be opened by entering a programmed pass code. Most security locks will allow for multiple passwords, which is ideal for a family. Keypad type of security door locks are available in traditional designs such as the dead bolt or combination handset. It is important to make sure to make sure there is sufficient battery power in the unit, or otherwise it may not work. Typically, there should be an LED indicator of the battery life in the keyless door lock.
