is this a 3rd gen or a 2nd gen???
if its a 3rd gen the coolant reservoir is on the same side of the car as the turbos are located, underneather the main headlight.
believe its a similar location on 2nd gens.
cheers.
I believe that you fill it with coolant, as the tank's name suggests.
Actually , what I did was go and buy a cheap plastic turkey baster and used that to suck the coolant out of the tank - it took less time than I figured
In the gas tank.
remove the two 10mm nuts. dissconnnect the coolant level sensor plug and remove coolant hose's

inside the gas tank
It is in the coolant expansion tank Problems with this sensor are common as they are pourous and take up coolant, eventually sinking and bringing on the coolant check light. You most likely will need to change the coolant expansion tank to cure the problem as it is usually sold as a unit. Kev
in gas tank
IF you're asking where the coolant level sensor is located, it is located inside the coolant reservoir (that plastic tank on the passenger's side under the hood). The electrical connection is toward the front of the reservior on the engine side.
Thermostat may not be opening
The RX8 has a common problem with the coolant level sensor in the expansion tank. Unfortunately the sensor is part of the tank and so the whole unit needs to be replaced, a fairly easy job to do!
you add it in the expansion tank located at the front left when facing the opened hood - its the white / clear plastic tank with a metal cap on the top of it. only open the cap when the engine is cold or it will boil the coolant and cause it to spurt boiling coolant (water) all over you and you car's engine.
