It is mounted on the front of the block at the crankshaft. It is bolted on the driver's side of the engine.
how do i remove the crank senor on the e320 Benz
No, it still has a distributor.
A crank sensor plate , is attached to the crank shaft . it has little notches in it , that tell the ecu what piston is top dead center, sending the spark and fuel to the correct piston at correct time assisted by the cam senor which tells the ecu what position the valve is in.
behind timing belt
well i had a problem with mine not starting i was told to replace the crank and cam sensor and it fired right up.
yes it dose, it has a cam sensor and a crank sensor,
yes If the ecm does not see rpm from senor it will not turn fuel pump on,you will only hear pump cycle during key on before crank ,but no fuel pump heard after crank tech14444
crawl under the engine, at the front where the crank pullet is you will see an elctrical connection right behond the pulley. New answer; Sorry but that is the cam sensor, The crank senor is behind the starter on the block, Depending on the year. Crank senor has never been inTHE FRONT OF THE ENGINE.
Ignition module, cam senor, crank sensor or bad computer
No, fuel pump is controlled by fuel pump relay.
more than likely the mechanic that changed the timing belt didn't put the crank position sensor wire back on the timing cover and the alt belt burned the wires going to the sensor throwing a code. crank senor no signal
