The camshaft sensor is behind the water pump pulley and the crank sensor is mounted just above the crank pulley(dynamic balancer). If the crank sensor is bad . The car will simply DIE. If the cam sensor is bad it will simply not have sequential injector firing and driveability and MPG will be affected.
BOBAnswerwhen the water pump pulley is removed you can see a sensor with 3 wires going to it at the top side of the crank shaft pulley. you might be able to see it with a flashlight and a mirror without removing anything. hope that's the right sensor.

The sensor is located in between the crank pulley and front cover, just to the lft of the crankshaft. In order to change the sensor, you must, first, remove the crank pulley. With the damper off, unplug the sensor, and pull off the plastic cover. The sensor is mounted with 2 bolts, just to the left of the crankshaft. You'll need a deep 15mm socket.
