According to a post in http://www.dodgeforum.com, the sending unit is probably close to the oil filter, on the side of the engine. The vehicle mentioned in the article, was a 1998 Dodge caravan with 3.0 v-6. Probably the 3.3 and 3.8 v-6's are in nearly the same location in relation to the oil filter, as well as the 4-cyl engines.
