well...the Kia is a pretty crappy car, you should just throw it away. did you know what KIA spelled backwards is AIK?!?! i totally disagree with above comment , Kia auto s are very good, yes they had some problems,but are very reliable .Now to answer your question ,you will find the fuel pump relay located under the hood, passenger side,in front of battery in a black plastic box with fuses, the 2 front relays are what you are looking for, remember on this model replace Both relays at the same time, they interact with each other and one can take the other out. $ 16.00 ea at the Kia dealer and well worth it.If you have any other questions let me know.

The relay is in the relay box under the hood. The fuse is in the fuse box.
locate the fuse panel under the hood of your sportage. There is two bigger relays in that panel 1. the egi control relay. 2. the fuel pump relay.
