I have a 1996 Oldsmobile 88 and my fan stopped. While searching the internet I came across AUTOZONE.COM's Repair Site. It has a lot of info and diagrams. Here's a link to the diagram showing the location of the BLOWER RELAY under the hood: http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/15/eb/f8/0900823d8015ebf8/repairInfoPages.htm It's the FIRST drawing on the page. I cannot verify that the relay positions as listed are correct. The locations listed as ABS PUMP RELAY and MAIN RELAY are empty on my 1996, 88. I pulled the relay listed as BLOWER RELAY in the diagram. Here is the information on it: Pins: 5
Mfg: OMRON
White letters on the TOP: D 5174
Numbers on the FACE: 12077864 D00 Z7365 Pin Positions: _ _

You don't bypass it, you replace it. It doesn't cost that much
1st or 2nd from the left
It may not have one on a '73. If it does it would be under the dash.
The 1996 Oldsmobile fan relay switch can be found in the fuse box. The fan relay switch will be in the third column, second from the top.
probably not blower motor (unless the cage is packed with mouse chewins) check resistor ,relay or switch
if your blower motor is not properly working it is most likely your blower motor resistor. it is located next to the blower motor which can be found by looking through your glove compartment. 17.99 at your local autozone
The blower relay only operates the high speed function. The blower speed resistor operates all the lower speeds. I would suspect the blower speed switch is at fault. Examine the blower speed switch and the plastic electrical plug that plugs into the switch, you may see the plug has melted.
Check the fuel pump fuse & relay.
where is cooling fan relay on 1995 olds acheiva
I would suspect the relay on the firewall under the plastic cover of the drivers side.
The fuel relay switch for 1993 olds cutless ciera is in the dashboard.
Well since I put the question out there, Inow have the answer: It was the blower motor module that needed to be replaced. It was burned out. It cause me 251.00 for part and labor.
