It should be located on the side of the block right above the oil pan (im guessing the passenger side)
The oil dipstick tube comes out of the block on the driver's side.

Older engines have the dipstick on the driver's side. There is a hole in the side of the block between 5 & 7. Newer ones have the dipstick tube in the passenger side of the oil pan.

Motor Oil Dipsticks is located on the drivers side engine compartment.
Not sure if the dipstick is broken off the loop where you pull on it. Check where the dipsick tube is secured, you may want to remove the tube also, spray lots of lube where the tube goes into block, and be very patient,and turn the tube back and forth at first, and then pull it out.........
It should be on the dip stick tube or just in side of the trans where the tube goes in
The 2002 Chevy Silverado dipstick tube is held in place with a retaining nut at the bottom of the dipstick tube. Loosen the retaining not in the dipstick tube will lift out.

Drive it into the hole in the block. You can take a slightly larger piece of tubing and cut it at an angle to serve as a punch. Lube the dipstick tube and the hole in the block. Make sure your dipstick tube is correct for the engine.. for example, the tube used on 1-piece rear seal blocks is smaller than the older 2-piece seal blocks, so some aftermarket dipsticks end up being to big to go down the hole. Same goes for cheap chrome plated dipstick tubes. Hope that helps you out.
