The idle air control (IAC) valve on my 4.0 L OHV is on the driver's side of the engine mounted on the side of the upper "plastic" intake manifold. Removing the valve and CLEANING it does wonders for its operation ability.

unfortunately, you cant. it is controlled bu the ecm. you must have either a vaccum leak or an egr problem. also could be the idle air control valve. good luck!!
