twist the top of the choke, there is no idle screw on the 1999 yz250
the best way to set the idle mixture screw is with a gas analyzer. setting the mixture to 14:1. if you dont have one use a vacuum gage and set for the highest vacuum. If you dont have one of them then turn the screw in til the engine starts to stumble. then turn the screw out til the engine starts to stumble. turn the screw back in half the distance. that will be your best setting. Any leaner and the engine wont start, any richer and the engine will flood.
2 turns out from seated is a good start
bury screw all the way in and turn out 1.5 to 2.5 turns out
you are screwed. light it on fire and crack a brewski
The screw on the upper side of the carb is the idle speed adjustment. The air to fuel or air screw is located lower on the bottom of the carb, right in front of the carb bowl. Procedure: First, warm the engine by driving the ATV for ten minutes or more, or let it idle. It has to be done outside in the open air, doing this in a closed garage can lead to sudden death from carbon monoxide poisoning. First, locate the idle adjustment screw. With the engine running, give this a few turns until you know how to increase and decrease the engine speed. Now, listen to the engine and twist the idle adjustment screw slowly from right to left or counter-clockwise. The engine speed will begin to drop. Now go on to turn the screw counter-clockwise until you hear the engine begin to stall or miss. When this happens, you turn the screw back half a in the other direction or clockwise. For the air screw, to get a richer mixture then tighten this screw. To lean it out, loosen it. Do this in small steps, then try revvying and driving the ATV between adjustments until you are satisfied with the way it runs. A very lean air mixture will make the ATV backfire on deceleration. If this happens, enrich the mixture a bit.
You can adjust the idle speed on your 1992 Honda 250, motorcycle with the fuel pump adjustment screw. Turning the adjustment screw will adjust the flow of fuel.
There are two screws on the carb the top one goes 1.5 turns from all the way in unless it is bored out and the lower screw is used to adjust the idle speed a 2storke should barley Idle when warmed up all the way.
10w40 is the oil that is recommended for a 2002 Honda Rebel 250. Do not use an oil that is lighter than 10w40.
No, Honda Rebel 250 is 5 speed trans. bike. However, the 86 and 87 Rebel 450 had a 5 speed transmission with overdrive, so 6 speeds.
The idle speed is computer controlled
