Hi, It's part of the starter. Steve H.
under the hood on drivers side pf fire wall
The wire in center of distributor cap attaches to coil.
A 1995 Geo Metro ignition coil is tested by measuring the resistance across the coil. If it exceeds the manufacturer's recommendation, it must be replaced.
Firewall Drivers Side
Ignition Control Module.
im assuming your looking for hot wires on the coil. They should be two wires of the coil
Try the ignition control module. Had the same problem with mine $36 part fixed it. The ignition control module is in the distributor and so is the pickup coil, but the ignition coil is by the battery. There is a spark test that can be done. If it was already done and couldn't see a spark, then it could be the ignition coil it self , the ignition wire, or any possible electrical connections.
A 97 Geo Metro that cranks but gets no spark is not getting enough power to the ignition coil or the coil itself is bad. The coil use the 12 volts of power provided by the battery and alternator to generate a very powerful spark.
on the firewall on the driver side, just follow the wire that is on the center of the distriburter cap
Just above the ignition coil on the firewall just in front of the driver
On the firewall. Upper right, above the exhaust manifold and steering column... Good hunting. PS. you will see a wire very similar to a spark plug wire connecting the ignition coil to the distributor cap... hope this helps..
take one off at a time, and replace with a new one. then so on.
e is for the exaust stroke......i is for ignition stroke......i is the one you are looking for
