On the intake manifold
The 1997 Dodge Dakota air intake sensor can be found attached to the air cleaner housing. The air intake sensor will be on the inside of the air cleaner housing.
Where is the Air Intake temperature sensor located on a 1997 dodge ram 1500?
The IAT sensor is located in the intake manifold
The air intake temperature sensor can be found on the top of your manifold intake. The sensor will be right in the middle of the intake manifold.
It is under the alternator.
Service manual says the IAT(intake air temp) sensor is installed into the intake manifold plenum near the left side of throttle body. it appears to screw in and out.
the Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IAT) could also be called the Manifold Air Temperature Sensor (MAT) some instances they are both.
passenger side front corner of the intake manifold
INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR HIGH
the iat is built into the mass air flow sensor attached to the intake tube
There are two, the ambient air temp sensor on the cold air intake just before the filter. And the Intake temp sensor on the intake itself (throttle body after the MAF.)
It should be the plug on the intake just before the Throttle Body.
on the top of the motor, behind the very back of the intake, next to the distributor.
behind the thermostat housing,two wires

It is the two wire sensor next to the thermostat housing.
I think it is near front grill in front of radiator
Dodge Dakota V6's didn't have a crank sensor until 1992.
There is not a mass air flow sensor on a 1997 Dodge Dakota.
The error code p1193 on a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan indicates that the intake air temperature sensor has failed. The sensor can be replaced by unbolting it, removing the wiring harness, and pulling it from the intake.
The IAT sensor on a 2004 Dodge Stratus 2.4L is located where the radiator hose meets the engine. IAT stands for intake air temperature.
