Where is the intake temperature sensor plug for a 2000 Kia Sportage 2WD?
It screws into the top of the air cleaner assembly near the braket for the mass air flow sensor.
Where is the IAT sensor on a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT with the 4.0 V6 SOHC Its not on the intake tube.?
The intake air temp. sensor or IAT is part of the mass airflow (MAF) sensor. If you remove the MAF sensor, you can see a 3-4 mm ball on the end of 2 wires. That is the IAT sensor. On a 2000 tundra it is the yellow/green and green/white wires. which on a wiring schematic is the tha and e2 terminal. hope that helps
On a 2000 Durango, the MAF sensor is known as an "ambient air temperature" sensor. Follow your air intake to the manifold. It's sticking out of the right side, under the manifold and looks like this: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?displayName=Sensor+-+Ambient+Air+Temperature¤tPage=1&categoryDisplayName=&navValue=16001729&itemId=prod10194&parentId=cat10015 Good Luck.
Will a bad temperature sensor on 2000 Kia Sportage cause it not to have any power and not get over about 10 mph?
they are located under intake manifold The #1 sensor is located in the front of the engine and the #2 sensor is located in the back of the engine. Remember to replace the intake gaskets once you replace the sensor/s. The total time it took me to pull the intake and locate the bad sensor was about 6 hours. Hope this helps
How do you change an air charge temperature sensor and an engine coolant temperature sensor on a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu?
The air charge temperature sensor is located in the air inlet between the air filter and the air horn. The coolant temperatur sensor is located in the intake manifold. I believe that you need to have a Repair Shop scan the engine and do diagnostics on the car before you replace parts that may not be bad. Just because you get a code does not mean that part is bad.
