I stopped by an independent MB shop because my turn signals had stopped flashing and was told the flasher is part of the Hazard Light switch. My HL switch is located behind the Power window switch in the center console. Haven't taken it apart yet.
The hazard light switch is part of the circuit, and generally causes the issue you describe.
It needs to be removed, and cleaned or replaced.

Turn signal flasher?
the turn signals will not work
check the turn signal flasher
Probably a bad flasher
I found out through a Chevy dealer mechanic that this year/make/model Chevy doesnot have a flasher in it. If the turn signal doesnot work it will be the turn signal switch in the steering wheel.
One of four things can cause a turn signal not to work. Either the turn signal switch assembly, a bad bulb, a bad fuse, or a bad turn signal flasher.
