on v-6 the oil filter is the drain
Dude . . . the oil pan drain plug is near the oil filter on the passenger side very close to the transmission bell housing. Removing the oil filter will drain some of the oil, sure, but if you want to empty the crankcase you will need to pull the drain plug. Check your manual for the correct torque to use when replacing the plug and don't forget to use a new gasket.
There is no drain plug for the transmission pan so this is kind of hard to screw up. Just check your fluid levels after draining the oil if you're concerned you might have emptied the wrong thing. As always, I am not a mechanic and your mileage may vary. .

Its hidden by the air dam under the radiator. You can remove air dam, only 5 bolts or just bend it down and remove plug.
The 2006 Toyota oil drain plug can be found on the bottom of the oil pan. The oil drain plug can be removed with a 9/16 wrench.

It is screewed into the oil pan. just look are run your hand around the bottom sides of the oil pan and you will find it. The oil pan is whats bolted to the bottom of the engine.
Gregory, to get at that drain bolt you have to get under your car. It is located slightly above the oil filter. I am planning on changing my radiator and will be doing this as well. Good luck.

Drain out engine oil out, replace oil plug at the bottom of engine, pour in same amount of diesel let it stand 10mns, drain it and refill with engine oil.
there are three oil galley plugs behind the timing chain, and three freeze plugs on each side of the block on the outside. One water drain on each side of the block on the outside. and three oil galley plugs on the back of the block, under the bellhousing/flywheel. and one oil galley crossover under the intake in the lifter valley.

There is no engine block drain plug on a 1996 Chevy Lumina. You drain from the radiator using the plastic plug at the bottom.
The engine block coolant drain plug on 4.3 liter Chevy Blazer is located on the bottom of the engine, near the oil filter. It allows coolant to be completely drained from the block during maintenance.

The engine oil drain plug on a 2002 Chevy Astro van is located on the passenger side of the undercarriage. The oil pan with the drain plug is actually located behind the front bumper in this area. The drain plug is not at the bottom of the oil pan like most other vehicles.
There is one on each side of the engine block just above were the oil pan bolts to the engine. The plugs are in the center of the block on both sides.

The 1996 Chevy Astro Van radiator drain plug can be found on the right hand side of the radiator. The drain plug will be near the bottom of the radiator.
Assuming this is a 4.3 engine, remove the block coolant drain plugs. There is one on each side of the block. The passenger side is towards the front of the block and the drivers side is towards the back.
Open the drain valve on the side of the engine block.

Every block has one (L4 or L6) or two (V6 or V8) coolant drains. Not always easy to access.
