Resistor pack is located underneath and behind the glove compartment (actually, more to the FRONT of the car than the glove comp). You have to remove three or four screws to get to it, and there is some tricky maneuvering to get the plastic plenums back together at the end so you want to take a very good look and remove the plenums slowly. The resistor pack is almost directly against the firewall. You need either a 1/4 socket or a flexible or universal socket to remove it. It is an ornery little B@stard. The old ones are green or blue and your replacement part will be both longer than the part you remove, and black instead of green or blue, but it's the right part. You can get them at practically any car parts store. It's called a blower motor resistor and cost me 16.77 at Autozone. There are other descriptions to be found online as well.
A malfunctioning blower motor resistor will cause the blower motor not to work. When the resistor is bad the blower motors will not turn on.
One can purchase a blower motor resistor either in car part shops, like Autozone. Alternatively, one can try looking in eBay for cheaper blower motor resistors.
