The thermostat is located in the forward most part of the intake manifold directly in the center. It is located in an in-closed housing with 2 studded bolts. Just follow the Large water pump hose on top of the intake manifold to it. You don't need to remove this housing, just remove the 2 bolts and lift up the housing with the large hose attached to it. The thermostat will be sitting in the recessed area of the hole in the intake manifold.
For this vehicle, the Power Steering pump must be removed to get to the bottom bolt. The thermostat is built into the housing and must be purchased as 1 unit ($30 +/-).

The speed sensor on a 2000 Olds Bravada Smartrak is on the top of the automatic transfer case. To change it you need to disconnect the two wires and replace with a new sensor.
No you must remove the dashboard. I just had it done on a 1996 Bravada and it cost me $450.00.
You have to remove the steering wheel and driver airbag to replace this multi function switch....trust me I had to do it.
