Where is the thermostat on 1999 VW jetta?

According to the Haynes manual, the thermostat is located by follwing the lower radiator hase from the radiator back to the engine. The housing for the thermostat is bolted on the side of the engine block facing the radiator.

Where is the thermostat located on a 2000 Ford Ranger?

The Haynes manual I have says the thermostat housing is located between the lower radiator hose and the block on the left front side of the engine. The thermostat and housing are all one piece. The lower radiator hose (return) connects to the thermostat housing. follow the out hose for the rad until it enter the block it shouldn't be hard to find.

Where is the thermostat located on a 1999 Cadillac DeVille?

On a 4.9L follow the upper radiator back to the engine. This should be the thermostat housing. The thermostat should be inside. On a 4.6L the thermostate is in the housing which is near the water pump drivebelts "on the coolant crossover housing". If this is not clean I recommend you buy the Haynes for your DeVille. See page 3-4, illustration 3.14.

Where is the thermostat on the car?

Generally, it will be at the engine side of the upper radiator hose, under a small aluminum housing with two bolts in it. If you have not replaced one before, I recommend getting a Haynes or Chilton manual for your car from an auto parts store or library.

How do you change the thermostat in a 2001 Toyota solara?

You might want to repost your question to be more specific. Are you talking about the air conditioning thermostat inside the car? If so you should invest in a maintenance manual (Chiltons, Haynes or Toyota Factory) to make the job much simpler. If you're talking about the engine thermostat the generic answer is: The thermostat is mounted in a housing behind the top radiator hose. How you get to it depends on the engine, 4 or 6 cylinder. Again, a manual might be helpful. Cheers

Where is the thermostat located on a 1994 Ford Ranger?

In both the 4 & 6 cylinder models follow the upper radiator hose to the engine block, the piece it connects to is the cover with the thermostat in it. I just did the a 94/4.0 V6 and the bolts are a bit tight to access. Ensure you have a flex socket handle. I found the steps in the Haynes manual for this vehicle.

How do you change thermostat on a 1994 Buick Skylark?

Well it depends on the type of engine you have, but that only has to do with the thermostat's location. The Haynes GM manual #38025 has instructions on how to change the thermostat in section 3-3. Amazon has copies of it dirt cheap.

How do you replace the thermostat and where is it located on a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire?

I'd check a Haynes or Chilton manual. This is a common question here, and there seems to be no definitive answer. Thermostats are located in a couple of places, dependent on what year the car is, and which engine you have. On my '96, for example, where you would expect to find the thermostat, is not where it is. If I recall correctly, there's even something stamped into the block there saying that there is no thermostat here, or words to that effect. I think the therm in my car is located at the engine end of the lower radiator hose. FriPilot

Where is the thermostat on a 2002 zr2?

Not to be a smart-alec, but it's right on top, in the middle. Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine block. That domed housing hides your thermostat and is held on with three bolts if i remember right, possibly two. One is a pain to get to with the throttle body bracket on top. A Chilton or Haynes Manual will help immensely with this and future repairs. It's saved me $100's on my 1999 ZR-2.

Where is thermostat on blazer ZR2 4.2L?

Right on top of the motor, in the front/center.

Renault Scenic Why does the heater system blow cold air only looking at the haynes manual is useless?

Fault with thermostat Heater matrix clogged (maybe with radiator sealant) That's exactly what was wrong with mine! the workshop had to clean all the radiator sealant (copper) and it start working perfectly.

Where is the coolant temperature sensor located on a 2001 town and country?

I think the Town and Country comes only with the 3.8L V6 engine but you need to be more specific about your engine when asking questions. Look for the top hose coming out of your radiator. Follow this to where it connects to the engine. Your thermostat is normally located at that junction point and the temperature sensor is normally on the engine side of that connection. Look for a wire connecting in that vicinity. Otherwise, I suggest you go to your local auto parts store and buy a Haynes or Chilton repair manual. That will show you precisely where it is.
