the throttle position is under the hood, around the engine, and under the tap. .... you know... the thing that hold the oil in.

NO. Honda will sell the sensor, gasket and bolts for $150. Take them about 1/2 hr. labor to put it on.

the throttle sensor function is to stabilize the ref of the car engine
On the camshaft
In the distributor.
It is on the throttle body just below the throttle linkage.

2 possibilities. 1. Mass Air Flow sensor. 2. Throttle Position Sensor.
On the back of the throttle body, up against the firewall. On the the '00 LX they are riveted on though, and I haven't heard of a way to avoid replacing the entire TB. Good luck.
