Behind the plastic covers on the front of the engine. If you've never done this job before, you need to get a manual to do it. It's not an easy job for the novice mechanic. Getting the cams and crank aligned are very critical. If you do it, you may as well replace the water pump too. It's driven by the timing belt and you don't want to have to do this job twice. I'd also recommend replacing the crank shaft seal while you're in there.
