ok just to make things a little bit more clearer, in a 92 Honda accord, the dipstick is on the left side if you're actually facing the car under the hood. its way down deep just on the right side of the battery but lower than the battery.
AnswerIf it is standard there isn't any dip stick. You just loosen a bolt on the side of the transmission and check the fluid level with your finger. Yeah its weird but that's what Honda says. Very few (none that I can think of) manual transmissions have dipsticks, so one would assume the OP was asking about the dipstick for an automatic transmission. That being said, the dipstick for the automatic transmission is on the right side of, but lower than, the battery. It helps to use a flashlight to locate the dipstick as it is really low in the engine compartment. It is about the same height in the engine as the lower radiator hose's exit from the radiator is.
