ok just to make things a little bit more clearer, in a 92 Honda accord, the dipstick is on the left side if you're actually facing the car under the hood. its way down deep just on the right side of the battery but lower than the battery.
AnswerIf it is standard there isn't any dip stick. You just loosen a bolt on the side of the transmission and check the fluid level with your finger. Yeah its weird but that's what Honda says. New Answer HeadlineThe question was, where is the transmission dipstick? Very few (none that I can think of) manual transmissions have dipsticks, so one would assume the OP was asking about the dipstick for an automatic transmission. That being said, the dipstick for the automatic transmission is on the right side of, but lower than, the battery. It helps to use a flashlight to locate the dipstick as it is really low in the engine compartment. It is about the same height in the engine as the lower radiator hose's exit from the radiator is. The dipstick itself is only about 4 or 5 inches long. Hope this helps. No it will not interchange. You need an Accord transmission from a 1990-1993.
The type ofATF is usuaaly stamped somewhere on the dipstick. Mine takes Dexron and it is stamped on the head of the dipstick. I had to clean it to read it though.
yes, as long as the 1992 accord is also an automatic
2.5-3 quarts. After the last fill, use the dipstick to verify it's properly filled. Honda (unlike everyone else) wants you to check the transmission dipstick with the engine warmed up but NOT running.
No
No, they have different motors, so the tranny's will not interchange.
it may b the transmission sensor
LOOSE OR CORRODED ELECTRICAL CONNECTION?
Engine and transmission. Raise the hood and look see.
"What is the valve clearance on 1992 Honda accord?"
A 1992 Honda Accord does not have an Engine oil cooler. It can have a transmission oil cooler, which is built into the radiator.
Remove the transmission pan on the bottom of the transmission. The filter is mounted to the valve body of the transmission.
