Looking at the bottom side of the front of the engine at the crankshaft pulley, the CKP is at the 10 O'Clock position of the crankshaft pulley
I would say that they are one and the same.
can some one show me where the crank sensor is on a 03 nisson altima a picture would be great
This would be located right behind the crankshaft. For the best assistance, you can use the users manual to get it fixed.
the crankshaft position sensor is located at the underneath side of the engine right at the bottom of the timing chain cover / front of oil pan
i Would say not far from the The Face Bonnit ( Motor ) Engine ..
No, a bad crankshaft sensor would cause the car not to start and run.
i think u mean crank sensor and that would be by the dampener or balancer in the front of engine (near crankshaft)
You didn't mention what year or engine but, if it is a 4.3L and it has a crank sensor, it would be located behind the passenger side of the lower pulley ( harmonic balancer) . If it is the 2.2L engine the crankshaft sensor would be found on the lower side of the block on the passenger side, probably best to access from under the vehicle.
Check to see if the wiring is damaged.
It's behind one of the camshaft pulleys. Why would a CRANKSHAFT position sensor be behind a CAMSHAFT pulley ??
check crankshaft sensor sensor
if your fuel pressure is still good i would replace the crankshaft position sensor , it is located behind the crankshaft pulley, you will have to pull it with a puller.
