Which civilizations did Spain's conquistadors destroy?

All of them. Entire Mesoamerican civilizations (Aztec, Maya, Zapotec, Mixtec) were exterminated by the Spanish conquistadors; their cities destroyed and used as building materials for the newly Spanish-founded cities. However, the most important among them was the city of Mexico-Tenochtitlan. Capital of the Aztec empire and home to 300,000 people at its peak, it was razed to the ground.
The Spanish conquistadors aided themselves and their home country of Spain by dominating and conquering Native American civilizations in Mexico and in South America. They certainly learned more about these civilizations, which helped the European world regarding information about these Ancient civilizations. The primary objective, however, was to steal their gold & silver and send it back to Spain. They also used these civilizations to help them find mines containing precious metals and precious minerals…
The Spanish explorers were known as Conquistadors which meant they tried to conquer lands they were interested in to expand their country's global power and control. When they saw all of the gold that American civilizations had, they wanted the gold for themselves and their country because of its value. They though that the only way to have the gold for themselves was kill off the American civilizations.
