Northern Europe typically only includes Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden (or the Nordic countries). However, the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) as well as the British Isles (Ireland and the United Kingdom) are sometimes grouped with Northern Europe merely on geographical terms.
