Minerals are non-renewable resources, petroleum, metals, gems.
The resources of wind, ocean current, and sun can't be used up.
Resources that can be renewed over time are organic, plant and animal, unless they are used to extinction. Air and water can be renewed if appropriate measures are used and its the will of enough people. Any resource is non-renewable unless the human population wants to renew or preserve it.
NONE of these are renewable!
Petroleum is not renewable.
Soil
Four that i know of they are Petroleum Natural gas Coal and Nuclear Power
Hydro-electricity is renewable because the rain keeps falling into rivers and dams. When it stops, then hydro won't be renewable any more.
- Fossil fuel energy sources (coal-natural gas - petroleum - wood) - Nuclear energy sources (fission - fusion). Nuclear energy may be considered as renewable energy source.
Fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and nuclear power are all non-renewable energy.
The four most common non-renewable resources are gas, oil, coal and copper.
CoalOilNatural gasUranium (nuclear)Rainforest timberThese are ALL non-renewable sources of energy.
Petroleum (oil) is the answer.Energy use in the US (2015 figures):Petroleum 36%Natural Gas 28%Coal 15%Nuclear 8%Renewable Energy 13%
Not in the literal sense of the words "Mechanical Energy". It depends on the source of the mechanical energy. If the source is renewable, like solar or wind generated electricity, then the mechanical energy is renewable. If the source is non-renewable, like electricity from burning oil, then it is non-renewable.
Three possibilities: Petroleum (23%) + Natural Gas (30%) = 53% or Natural Gas (30%) + Uranium (nuclear energy) (33%) = 63% or Petroleum (23%) + Uranium (33%) = 56% A forth is possible if you consider: Uranium (33%) + Renewable energy (8%) = 41%
Petroleum is a fossil fuel and as such it is a non-renewable resource. Petroleum is refined from crude oil, which has been formed over thousands of years. So petroleum is NOT a renewable resource.
Renewable energy sources use various non petroleum, non wood, non peat, non nuclear sources for fuel energy, typically to produce electricity. Petroleum, wood, peat, and nuclear energy are non renewable sources because they can be depleted faster than they can be replaced. The main way these energy sources are alike is they are all used to produce electricity.
Coal, natural gas, nuclear power, kerogen
