Arain are known for their hard work and dedication and it is claimed that they were rulers of Arab descent[10], doubtless based upon the demographic that nearly all Arain are, and have been, Sunni Muslim, as were the early Arabs of Muhammad bin Qasim's expedition[11]. Arain came from Areeha (Jericho, Syria) with Muhammad Bin Qasim in 92 Hijri (711 AD). [12] Muhammad Hayaat Madni was a Commander in Muhammad Bin Qasim's Army - 711 AD as held in the family tree of famous Arain Mian Family Baghbanpura. Reference to their lineage is made by the famous Indian Historian of Islam, Akbar Shah Khan Najeebabadi, who declared that they entered India thru Debal, Sindh with Muhammad Bin Qasim. He declared them Areehai from Arreha (Jericho) which was Punjabized with a nasal sound to Arain.[13]
Another proof of the Arain ancestry being from Muhammad Bin Qassim is the word Ar-Rai meaning shepherd in Arabic and that the Arain were originally shepherds in Syria who joined the Army of Muhammad Bin Qassim to conquer India.
A big Propaganda against the actual history of Arains. The origin of Arain is certain. They are actually the descendants of those Arab tribes who accompanied Muhammad Bin Qasim. The tribes include Banu Tamim, Banu Salim, Banu Ummaya, Banu Asad and some Yemeni Arabs like Banu Himyar. The author most known about the Data Ganj Hijweri's book Kash Ul Mahjob in which there is a detail information about the tribe of Saleem Al Raee. Tarikh Frishta also have genealogy of Zubair Al Raee who was the lineal descendant of Hadhrat Saleem Al Raee. DNA test also says that many Arains including my paternal cousin has haplogroup J1 FGC11 that's the actual linage amongst Semitics. Philip Hitti had also explained the importance of a town Ariha/Jericho in modern Palestine. Arains came as Arab intruders so there is no history where one could say Arain were converted to Islam from Hinduism, Sikhism or Budhism. Rajputs have Hindu and Muslim communities, Jatts, Gujjars and Kamboh could be Muslims, Sikhs or Hindus as well but Arain always found Muslim and majority of them are sunnis. Moulana Akbar Shah Khan Najeebabadi is well know historian and had written Aina e Hakiqat Numa with the reference of various historic text. Zoraen is mountainous area in-between Yemen and Oman. Yarim Zoraen (a Yemeni Arab tribe)'s descendants were in Bin Qasim aramy. Syeds of Multan or northern Sindh or any part of Pakistan have never claimed that they are the descendants of Banu Sama. Syeds are the generations of Banu Hashim. The Sayyids of Multan are from the line of Ghous e Pak Abdul Qadir Gillani R.A. or some are the descendants of Baha ud Din Zikriya Soharwardi. Qureshis of Multan should not be confused with Syeds or Arabs. Sheikh Qureshis were the local, converted to Islam and got tittle of Sheikh although some got fame under the surname Qurershi. Banu Sama's governor Raeena also had ruled the Multan and he got the tittle of Jam from the locals of Multan. His sons were known as Raeen. Arain could be found as being big landlords like Choudharys or Waderas in Southern Punjab and Sindh. Also latter British Officer Sir Denzil Ibbetson had corrected the wrong views about Arains. In his Gazetteer he had clearly mentioned that Arain came from lower Indus as being companions of Muhammad Bin Qasim and spread along the rivers of Punjab.
