In the 1920's, after the First World War, the Middle East was colonized mostly by France, Spain, Britain, and Italy. However, rebellion and a fight for independence began around this time, and many countries became sovereign nations in the decades following the war.
France and England came in to the Middle East, claiming that they wanted to assess the people to revolt against the Othman rule and to be free. Through mandates, France put it hands on Syria and Lebanon and England controlled Palestine. England helped the local rules in Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, and UAE and supplied them with forces. The only modern countries that never witnessed any form of occupation are Iran and Saudi Arabia.
