Hinduism is basically a faith in God. It was not at all founded by anyone. Time to time God come on Earth & stop the evil ( according to Hinduism). However you can say that - Shree Ram, Shri Krishna, Shiv Ji, Brahma Ji etc. make the people to believe on them time to time.,

∙ 11y agoHinduism was not founded by a particular person the way, for example, Buddhism was founded by Shakyamuni Buddha or Christianity by Jesus. For this reason it is known in Sanskrit as sanatana dharma, eternal religion. Instead of being based on the teachings of a founder, Hinduism is based on scriptures received by sages (rishis) through revelation. The oldest such texts are the Vedas.
Hinduism is not a religion; It is Dharma or a way of living. It cannot be answered in few words as it is a vast subject.

It is so ancient that people form other parts of Asia and Middle East and Europe learnt the system their astronomy and perhaps other sciences . They formed religions back in their countries. to suit the local populi.
