Several reasons come to mind:
1. the heater hoses are on the rt side & possibly could be leaking hitting something hot
& burning off. This would cause white smoke & scent of Anti/freeze
2. A leaking heater core dripping through the evap drain & hitting again something hot
will cause burn off & scent.
3. A leak in the cooling system anywhere will cause this problem.
I suggest a simple pressure test of the cooling system will pinpoint the leak....
Hope this helps,

It's the fuel from the engines.
white smoke is water, black smoke is oil. remember that!
white smoke is coming from my exhaust why?
Does it smell sweet? If so, you're probably leaking coolant, but could be due to any number of things.
White smoke normally means you are burning oil.
white smoke is water. head gasket or ?
Sounds like a head gasket. Check for white smoke tailpipe when running.
White smoke indicates a blown head gasket, the smoke is coolant burning
white smoke can be either your car overheating, or smoke from an electrical issue

White smoke! I know of no special name given to it other than white smoke.
