Because without the Bill of Rights we would have been a monarchy. The Bill of rights didnt do anything but list the rights we already had. We have certain inalienable rights given to us by our creator. They cannot be taken away unless you allow them to be. The Bill of Rights shouldn't have been called the Bill Of rights.. It should have been called "List of things the Government cannot do to its people" If it were called that then people wouldn't have been so confused today about what the Bill of Rights is. The US Government doesnt want their powers to be limited.., which is why soon, the bill of rights will be gone and they will have their new one world government i.e. their NEW WORLD ORDER. The US is falling apart and soon there will be a new revolution. Look it up, or else your not going to be ready when it hits the fan. Most of America wont even see it coming.

because the anti-federalists (one of the early American political parties) insisted that we include one into the constitution, otherwise they would refuse to ratify the new Constitution. Federalists such as George Washington promised that this would be the first thing put into the constitution as soon as it was passed. So the bill of rights was necessary to make the anti-federalists happy enough to ratify the Constitution
