Benjamin Franklin knew that the delegates didn't all agree with everything that was written in the Constitution. He didn't agree with everything either, but compromises had been made and he felt everyone should set aside the "my way is best" notion and sign the document.
he wanted the delegates to sign the constitution to never have wars!!
Franklin believed in representative democracy and the delegates were the representatives of the people.
Pennsylvania delegate Benjamin Franklin, one of the few Americans of the time with international repute, wanted to give a short speech to the Convention prior to the signing of the final draft of the Constitution. Too weak to actually give the speech himself, he had fellow Pennsylvanian James Wilson deliver the speech. It is considered a masterpiece.
Considering he was one of the delegates (probably the senior delegate since he was 81 at the time of the Constitutional Convention 1787), he was extremely supportive. He spoke and wrote to both the his fellow delegates and the public to support the new governing document meant to replace the dysfunctional Articles of Confederation. There are multiple authoritative books on Franklin, his life and career. There are also many well researched academic volumes on the Constitutional Convention, its delegates and the ratification process. Check with your local Librarian for further information.

Delegates are representatives chosen by state political parties, who attend political conventions. Hamilton drafted the resolution that led to the assembling of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787. At the convention Hamilton was unable to play a significant role. His desire for a strongly centralized federal government, including a president for life, was not shared by the other convention delegates, and his two fellow delegates from New York were Anti-Federalists who were able to outvote him on every measure. Hamilton then turned his energies to securing the ratification of the Constitution.
Inititally, before the Constitutional Convention, Roger Sherman wanted to amend the Articles and even wrote some amendments to give Congress more powers. However, upon listening to arguments made by his fellow delegates, he saw the need to abolish the Articles and write a whole new Constitution.

In 1786 printers in Philadelphia went on strike. Franklin invited them to conduct their meetings at his house. Here he and his fellow printers plotted strategy. He never forgot his working class roots. Out of this strike grew the Franklin Typographical Society. Evidence suggests Franklin wrote the by-laws.

Funny; This is a trick question straight out of the Pearson Constitutional Values textbook. As a fellow student, allow me to help- There was no mandate to the delegates to the Philadelphia convention.
