i think they didn`t ....:: but most of them , as many civilizations , wants to increase their spread around the world ( as American Globalization)
and that shouldn`t be through wars , may be through spreading ideas
The above answer is incorrect. Caliph 'Omar, 'Othman, 'Ali, and Muawiya were all Arabs who wanted to extend Moslem rule beyond Arabia and they all wished to do it for the same reason (except Muawiya). For 'Omar, 'Othman, and 'Ali, the reason was that they believed that Islam was the true path to salvation and they wished to share it with everyone that that they could. Muawiya wanted to spread Islam to increase his own political prestige and power as did the Caliphs after him in both the Umayyad and Abbassid Dynasties.
Muslim Arabs
Arabia-by the Arabs
The Arabs are a primarily ethnic group that historically inhabited the Arabian Peninsula. Islam, on the other hand, is a religion that originated in Arabia and was founded by the Prophet Muhammad. While many Arabs are Muslim, not all Arabs are Muslims and not all Muslims are Arab. However, Islam has had a significant influence on Arab culture, language, and history, as the religion spread throughout the Arabian Peninsula and beyond.

Long Answer: Although the Arabs consider themselves the descendants of Ishmael, it is entirely possible that some of the sons of Ishmael never became Arabs. (I.e. All tigers are cats, but not all cats are tigers.) The ones who became the Arab tribes are typically seen as being Muslim, but there were some Arabian Jews and Christians as well that the Caliph 'Omar let live, provided they fled Arabia. (This was to fulfill Mohammed's wish that all of Arabia would be Muslim.) Short Answer: Muslim.
No. They call themselves Muslim, but not Arabs.

Arabs pray in many different ways because there are Arab of all different faiths. Arabs who are Muslim are supposed to pray 5 times a day. First a Muslim washes their hands, arms, face, head, and feet. Then they kneel facing towards the city of mecca in Saudi Arabia and lean forward and touch their foreheads to the ground. Words said during prayer are specific verses from the Koran.
