The U.S wanted to build an canal because they wanted a secret passage way to a certain destination.
It would save the ships days to sail around the coast of Africa so they cut out a canal to shorten the trip vastly
To provide a faster, safer, cheaper route for ships and shipping between the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.
It made the trip from the east coast to the west coast much shorter.

Colombia failed to ratify the treaty and did not want to allow the USA build a canal on the isthmus of Panama.

A crown build up is done when a person's tooth needs a crown. Usually cause my a large filling breaking or a tooth is broken. Once a tooth is more filling then natural tooth they usually want to put a crown on it. The tooth needs to have a solid foundation in order to support a crown, therefore they have to use special material in order to build the tooth up and prepare it for a crown. Also after any root canal, the dentist will want to put a build up in as teeth become very week after a root canal.. This ensure that the tooth is strong enough to support a crown.. Hope this helps
So that the trade route by boat was quicker than going all the way around South America to get to the other side of America to ship goods.
If you want aids
It was Theodore Roosevelt
Im not sure of the question but sounds like the doctor already removed the inerts of the tooth and placed a filling into the root. That is what a root canal therapy is. If you want to remove the root canal filling material and replace it with a more biocompatible material there are dentist that do that.
America wanted a canal in South America (more specifically, Panama) to make the trip around North America easier. Back then, they used ships as the primary source of transportation, and it was easier to build a canal in Panama then go ALL the way around South America. Basically, it's there because Americans wanted the trip to be easier and less extensive.
