September 23rd we commemorate El Grito De Lares " The Cry Of Lares". Our first blown out revolution but since we're technically not independent as of today it's up to individual Puerto Rican's whether or not they celebrate it. Many Celebrate the 4th of July, But I see this as disrespectful to ourselves as The United States is the very same country that came and invaded and prevented our independence. Celebrating their independence as a Puerto Rican would be like celebrating the Birthday of someone who took out your mother. Kinda messed up now isn't it?
