Not everyone hates them, and nobody hates everyone who eats gluten-free. People who suffer from Celiac Disease actually get very sick if they eat gluten, and so it is reasonable for them to avoid it. However, if you don't have Celiac Disease there is no reason whatsoever not to eat gluten. Avoiding it is a food fad, and a lot of people find food faddists to be very annoying.
